Canon EOS 1D DSLR -
Very accurate auto-focus and high speed continuous shots. Normally used with
a 100-400L lens and is my workhorse system for close action or on the grid.
Canon EOS 1D MK-II DSLR -
An ideal camera for use with my 300 2.8L
IS lens with a x2 TC as it offers the extra reach and the room to crop the
picture in post-processing.
Canon 300mm 2.8L IS -
The 'Swiss army knife' of prime lenses. They don't come any better than
this.
Canon 500mm 4.0L IS -
For when you really need that extra reach. Combined with a TC this is my
'big' lens.
Canon 70-200mm 2.8L IS
- I use this zoom around the paddocks and pit lanes.
Canon 100-400mm4.5-5.6L
IS - My workhorse zoom.
Canon 17-40L - Wide
angle, mainly used on the grid.
Canon 24-70mm 2.8L -
Very handy for team shots.
Canon 85mm 1.8 - Used
for portraits, mainly of drivers.
Canon 50mm 1.4 - Also
a portrait lens, used when there isn't a lot of room.
Canon 1.4 and 2.0
MK-II TC's - Spend their time on the 300mm or 500mm for extra reach.
Manfrotto 449 CF Monopod
- I love this monopod. Strong, light and quick to adjust.
Canon 550EX and a pair of
420EX flash guns - All three get used for some portrait sessions.
Epson P2000 - Use to
dump my CF cards to. A very high quality bit of kit.
Spare batteries and CF
cards - To keep me going through the day.
Tamrac Expedition-8. This
is a big bag (VERY BIG) and is not for the weak of back or heart. It gobbles
up everything except the 300mm and weighs a ton!
